The Buffalo Bills have signed their right tackle.
On Friday afternoon — and just two days before the Buffalo Bills kick off the 2024-25 season with a home opener against the Arizona Cardinals — the team has announced that offensive tackle Spencer Brown has agreed to a four-year extension, tying him to Buffalo through 2028. The details have yet to be announced.

The 26-year-old Northern Iowa product was drafted by general manager Brandon Beane in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. While he was considered very raw and had his fair share of awful outings during the first two years of his career, he stepped up in a big way in 2023, starting all 17 regular season games for an offensive line that gave up the fewest sacks in the league (24).
Brown’s rookie contract only had 2024 left on the deal and it’s clear that Buffalo did not want to take the chance of other teams swooping in next free agency to sign him. Plus, considering Buffalo still has very little space, any amount of flexibility is worth it, and the contract will likely add some cap space for 2024.
Nonetheless, Brown looked like a stud in 2023 and hopefully, he can continue to improve even further as both a pass and run protector during the length of this contract. Check out The Buffalo News’ Katherine Fitzgerald’s quote from Brown on his reasoning for signing the extension.
“Buffalo is the city for me,” Spencer Brown says. “It’s a city that goes well my morals, my style of living, and that’s why I didn’t want to leave at all.” https://t.co/maOZ6DXvzS

In June, we predicted Brown would be the next contract handed out to a player on the Bills. Looks like we were right.
