James Cook appears set to play despite contract situation
Pro Bowl running back James Cook is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and earlier this offseason he made a public plea to receive a contract extension worth $15 million per year. But during the NFL’s annual league meeting, Brandon Beane made it clear that there wasn’t an extension looming in the near future for Cook. Now Cook is reportedly set to play for the Bills next season despite not having a new deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
