The Bills revealed that local teen Tommy Parzymieso will announce their first-round draft pick.
The Buffalo Bills haven’t revealed who they intend to select with the 30th overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, but they have decided who will announce the pick in Green Bay, WI on April 24.
The Bills, working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation recently gave 16-year-old Tommy Parzymieso a personalized tour of the team facility. During the tour, Parzymieso met with head coach Sean McDermott and received a personalized Bills jersey. Before he left the facility, Parzymieso met with general manager Brandon Beane where he discussed his opinions about the Bills’ roster.
“Keon Coleman,” was the teenagers answer to which current player is his favorite. “I like his personality. I like his play style.”
As for the future of the Bills’ roster, Parzymieso said that he hopes Beane prioritizes defense in the upcoming draft, including using Buffalo’s first-round pick on that side of the ball.
Parzymieso was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a rare genetic muscle wasting disorder that affects his muscles – including his heart and lungs, at the age of two. The disease effects 1 in 5000 boys worldwide.
“You have every reason to believe that they are going to grow up to play in the NFL someday, which is what Tommy’s dream is,” Parzymieso’s mother said in an interview six years ago and before he had lost the use of his legs and began using an electric wheelchair. “Once you get the diagnosis you realize some of your dreams may have to become different dreams for your child.”
While Parzymieso won’t be playing football, he would like to attend college and major in either sports management or sports nutrition. His goal: to become a football coach — and being on the sideline is something he has had a little experience with in the past.
As an elementary school student, every September, the Orchard Park Quakers would have Parzymieso join them as an honorary captain on national Coach to a Cure Day. Parzymieso would head out to midfield for the coin toss.
While he never played for the Quakers, Parzymieso’s love for football never wavered. In fact, it has only grown, which is why his Wish was to have a football experience that he could share with his family. Before his day was over, Beane told the Orchard Park High School student that he, along with his family, would be flying to Green Bay and that he would take the stage to announce the Bills’ first pick on stage.
For Parzymieso, nothing could be more perfect.
