Will it be the Chiefs or the Eagles hoisting the Lombardi Trophy this evening?

It’s Super Bowl Sunday for NFL fans and the world alike, with the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles set to clash in Super Bowl LIX — their second championship matchup in three seasons. The question for some right now is if there are any tells among bettors’ decisions on this evening’s game.

In this week’s national Reacts results based around the odds with FanDuel Sportsbook, we looked to gain some insight into where bettors are at ahead of kickoff. For the purposes of this article, we’ll stick to the mostly football-related wagers. Below the break are the results of those polls.

Though it may be difficult for Buffalo Bills fans to get too invested in this game beyond voraciously rooting against the Chiefs while enduring an odd feeling cheering on the Eagles, the Super Bowl is always must-see TV. Remember, there’s always the commercials and that often the memorable ones come right before and after halftime — and often only once during the game.

Be sure to weigh in with your thoughts on tonight’s game!

The Chiefs have been 1.5-point favorites over the Eagles since the odds were released. But the results of bettors’ decisions told us that 51% of their money was on Philadelphia to cover at +1.5, with Kansas City close by and at 49% as bettors’ favorites.

Though it’s almost a dead heat, this implies that more people believe the Eagles will win, preventing the Chiefs from finishing their quest to three-peat.

Now, what about the points total? Bettors see this one becoming a bit of a shootout, with 56% of polls saying the final score will hit the over 48.5 mark with FanDuel Sportsbook, and just 44% saying it will finish under 48.5.

In terms of Super Bowl LIX MVP, bettors once again found favor with Philadelphia — believing that running back Saquon Barkley (+280) will be named the game’s MVP. At 46%, Barkley (+280 odds) holds a sleight edge over the odds-on favorite in quarterback Patrick Mahomes (+110 odds).

Finally, (passing on performance odds here), we have a fun one for Bills Mafia to ponder. That is, which team logo will Jason Kelce wear during the broadcast? We know that Kelce is team Kelce through and through, but you can imagine he hopes the Eagles make good on a win this time.

Bettors agree, with 52% of them siding with Kelce to sport Eagles logos/colors. Interestingly, the Chiefs didn’t come in second here. Instead, it was neutrality and a figure of 40% of the bets. Meanwhile, Kansas City comes in a distant third at 8%.

Who knows? Maybe at this point Jason Kelce has fully embraced his coronation into Bills Mafia!
