Which Buffalo Bills player(s) are you watching in the preseason?

Welcome back to our weekend chat, Buffalo Bills fans. They play football this weekend!!!!

The Bills open the preseason on Saturday, and there are a lot of new faces in the coaching booth and on the sidelines. With so much change, there are lots of options for our weekend chat this week.

Who or what are you watching the most this weekend when the Bills take on the Chicago Bears?

I’ll just say first that we all hope for no injuries, so you can’t say that. Here’s my short list, but feel free to tell me who you are watching in the comments.

OC Joe Brady & DC Bobby Babich

The two brand new coordinators for the Bills will be calling their plays on Saturday. Brady had a short stint with the Carolina Panthers as their OC and took over play-calling from Ken Dorsey in buffalo last season, but this is his first full offseason of install and truly his offense. For Babich, it’s the first time he’s ever called plays in a football game. VERY EXCITING! As it’s preseason, I expect this to be vanilla, but the Bills could want to get some confidence among their coordinators, so who knows?

Wide receiver competition

The back end of the WR depth chart is fascinating, and I am going to be watching who is playing in the fourth quarter vs who gets snaps with the ones.

C Connor McGovern

How is Buffalo’s new center performing with his exchanges with Josh Allen? It’s been a concern of mine all offseason and here are live bullets flying or the first time.

CB Kaiir Elam

I’m expecting a big leap from Elam in his first season with new coaches handling his development. Word from camp is he has been much improved, so let’s see if that carries over to a real game.

Damar Hamlin and the safeties

The Bills have two potential starters on the shelf with injuries, so how Damar Hamlin plays in this game could determine how hard the team goes after Micah Hyde in the next couple weeks. If Hamlin plays well and they can get by until Mike Edwards and/or Cole Bishop returns to add more firepower to the room, that would be a big step.

Tyler Bass

I don’t think they are going to cut him, but man he needs to gain some confidence at least.

Make your case in the comments and talk about anything else here in our weekend thread.

Feel free to chat about this or anything else you might like in the comments section for the weekend. This is your place for fellowship.
