The Buffalo Bills were back on the practice fields at St. John Fisher University Thursday for Day 7 of training camp. Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off with thoughts and observations from Buffalo’s seventh session, including another day for cornerback Kaiir Elam and how Khalil Shakir is establishing himself as Josh Allen’s No. 1 wideout.

Thoughts from Day 7 of Bills training camp

During an appearance on the “Up & Adams” show with national host Kay Adams, quarterback Josh Allen said the Bills don’t have a No. 1 or a No. 2 receiver, saying “I think we got a group of guys that are just finding ways to get open and they’re doing their job. They understand their roles within each concept.” While it’s great for the Bills to have a number of talented wideouts, as he has during each practice this week, Khalil Shakir has continued to play like Buffalo’s No. 1 wide receiver.

Among the other key takeaways from the seventh practice session: cornerback Kaiir Elam made a pair of impressive plays in pass coverage; wide receiver Keon Coleman continued to add to his highlight reel; rookie offensive lineman Sedrick Van Pran Granger held up well when pressed into duty with the second team; tight end Dalton Kincaid and linebacker Baylon Spector made a few big splash plays; and tight end Zach Davidson continued his strong training camp as he looks to take Quinton Morris’ job as Buffalo’s third TE.
