Plus, what impact will a healthy DaQuan Jones have on Buffalo’s defense?

Buffalo Bills edge rusher/future Pro Football Hall of Famer Von Miller has made quite a living sacking the quarterback, but during the 2023 season, for the first time in his professional or collegiate career, the NFL’s active leader in taking down the QB failed to record a sack.

The lack of productivity was troubling, and today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by hearing from Miller that he “shouldn’t have even been playing” last year as he worked his way back from an ACL injury suffered during Buffalo’s Thanksgiving Day win over the Detroit Lions in 2022.

Von Miller: “I shouldn’t have even been playing” in 2023

No one doubted Von Miller that he wanted to rejoin his Bills teammates and make a difference on the field last year. But in his rush to return from that devastating ACL injury, Miller was unproductive off the edge for the Bills, failing to record a sack for the first time in his career.

Now, an “angry” Miller admits he “shouldn’t have even been playing” during a lost 2023 campaign that saw Miller play 12 games and finish with only three QB hits and three total tackles. Miller discusses his sack-less season and how he plans on proving the doubters wrong coming into the 2024 NFL season, and at least one NFL analyst is banking on a major rebound performance from Miller this year.
