Weekend Chat: Madden cover edition

NFL: New York Jets at Buffalo Bills

Are you a Madden NFL player? Who do you want on the cover?

Welcome back to our weekend chat, Buffalo Bills fans.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was on the cover of EA’s Madden NFL game last year. He even brought along some of the Bills Mafia for the cover shoot. Allen, thankfully, did not succumb to the Madden Curse, playing the entire season without a major dip in his statistics.

With this year’s release scheduled for June 11th, it’s a perfect time to revisit the conversation. Here is the latest list, and many of these folks have been incredibly successful in the seasons with their faces on the cover.

2019: Antonio Brown
2020: Patrick Mahomes
2021: Lamar Jackson
2022: Tom Brady & Patrick Mahomes
2023: John Madden
2024: Josh Allen

This year, the leading candidate to be on the cover is 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey. Other have bandied about the Kelce brothers, Travis and Jason, or other players like the Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa, Jaylen Waddle, and Tyreek Hill together.

Is there another Bills player you could see ever being on the cover? Do you care about Madden or the Madden cover?

Feel free to chat about this or anything else you might like in the comments section for the weekend. This is your place for fellowship.
