That sound you hear is a massive horde of table breaking in Bills Country
The Buffalo Bills just wrapped up the AFC East early by unwrapping the franchise’s fifth-straight AFC East Division Championship in Week 13. Shirts and hats games with five weeks to go in an NFL season is impressive. Buffalo accomplished this without having yet faced the New England Patriots.
Sure, the AFC East hasn’t produced a ton of winning football beyond Orchard Park, NY. But what the Bills have done is impressive regardless of divisional strength. To be 10-2 in a season where seven high-quality captains departed, which included the mercurial Stefon Diggs, is no small feat.
No one outside of Bills Country gave this team a chance to even contend for the division. It was supposed to be the New York Jets, the Miami Dolphins, maybe even the Patriots leapfrogging a Bills team featuring quarterback Josh Allen and a whole lot of new faces.
What all those people forgot was that Josh Allen is the engine that powers One Bills Drive. From the fans to his teammates, nearly all who worship at the Bills’ altar do so in full reverence and belief of Allen.
This is all just a long-winded way of saying that right now Bills Mafia is confident in Buffalo’s chances, and content with the direction of the team under head coach Sean McDermott.
How confident? An impressive 94% of Bills fans are confident the team is headed in the right direction.
As for Buffalo’s Week 14 opponent? Los Angeles Rams fans are pretty confident in their team right now, despite a confusing and frustrating .500 record through 12 games.
Nationally, the majority of respondents sided with the Bills in picking them to cover as 4.5-point favorits (-4.5) with FanDuel Sportsbook. A hefty 84% of people took Buffalo’s side of the odds.
