Working his way back to the gridiron following a season-ending severe leg injury, Milano was unable to finish practice on Tuesday
Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano was reportedly injured during Tuesday’s practice at One Bills Drive, per a report by Alex Brasky. Milano appeared to suffer a left arm injury during positional drills, with Brasky reporting that Buffalo’s athletic trainers “spent time looking at his bicep/elbow area” and that while “Milano tested the injury a bit,” he ultimately “did not return.”

the injury occurred while the team was going through tackling drills - i am not sure if this is the rep in which the injury occurred, but the LBs were going through this drill when it happened pic.twitter.com/EJVXnhjDFD

If there’s any positive to gain from this, it’s that Matt Milano wasn’t ushered off the field for evaluation and/or care. That said, a new injury to Milano that caused him to miss any regular-season games would be a difficult setback for him and for the Buffalo Bills.
Milano suffered leg and knee injuries last season during the Bills’ Week 5 trip to London, UK to “host” the Jacksonville Jaguars. With his season over after just four games and 11 plays, Buffalo was left scrambling to find a suitable replacement further down the depth chart.
One might expect head coach Sean McDermott to prefer exposing Milano to further injury during the preseason and practice, which this week includes joint sessions with the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of their Week 2 scrimmage.
