Between bashing wings to hating on the city, Jonnu Smith is quickly becoming Bills Mafia’s enemy No. 1
Most Buffalo Bills fans of a certain age are sure to remember former Miami Dolphins’ linebacker Bryan Cox, Sr. The man spent his time on the field flipping the bird to and spitting at Bills fans. Although he had been ejected for fighting and fined for his despicable actions, Cox was simply a menace to Bills Mafia everywhere.
Now, in 2024, fans have a new Dolphins player to despise: TE Jonnu Smith. While he only recently signed with Miami back in March of this year, Smith already started the rivalry off strong. Appearing on The Dive Bar Podcast on Thursday, he ensured that there was no shortage of Bills smack talk.
“That’s why their fans be hating so much because they wanna be down here,” Smith stated, referring to Miami. “Buffalo is... I don’t know how them dudes do it. I don’t know how they did it. Going from anywhere in the country, man. Then going into Buffalo. That got to be the worst place you can be.”
If that wasn’t enough, Jonnu then had to throw in a dig about Buffalo’s wings. “And the wings... the Buffalo wings ain’t even good,” Smith stated. This statement makes one wonder if he’s truly ever eaten anything in Buffalo before. But I digress.
