Dawkins is the first Bills player — and likely not the last — included in this year’s list

Dion Dawkins, the full-time starting left tackle for the Buffalo Bills since Week 9 of the 2017 NFL season, was named among the NFL’s Top 100 players of 2024. The list is released every year by NFL Network, and it’s a ranking gleaned from current players and stakeholders’ votes.

Dawkins came in at No. 96 on the list after not placing on it last year. The eight-year vet started all 19 of Buffalo’s games last season, including their two playoff contests. It’s the first time since the 2020 season that Dawkins made it through the entire season without missing a start. Dawkins earned his third-straight Pro Bowl nod last season, as well.

For Dawkins, 30, this is the first time he has appeared on the NFL Top 100 list. He’s one of three offensive linemen in the first 20 players revealed, joining Chris Lindstrom of the Atlanta Falcons (No. 88) and Tristan Wires of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (No. 85).

Last season, the Bills had four players appear on the NFL Top 100 list. Those players were Matt Milano (No. 69), Jordan Poyer (No. 57), Stefon Diggs (No. 16), and Josh Allen (No. 8). With Poyer and Diggs having moved on to the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans, respectively, and Milano missing most of last season with a leg injury, only Allen figures to represent the Bills on the list again out of that group of players.

Where will other Bills players land? The list will be revealed in increments, culminating with the reveal of the Top 10 Players of 2024 on August 2.
