Andreessen spent a noteworthy season playing linebacker as a graduate student with the University at Buffalo
The 2024 edition of Buffalo Bills rookie minicamp is in the books, and with it came the addition of another player to the team’s offseason roster. At the conclusion of minicamp, the Bills offered a spot to linebacker Joe Andreessen, who was at One Bills Drive on a tryout basis.
Andreessen, who grew up in the village of Depew, NY, joins the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent out of the University at Buffalo. Prior to his lone season with the UB Bulls, Andreessen played linebacker for five seasons with Bryant University. Andreessen then enrolled at UB for graduate studies, and played one memorable FBS season with the Bulls.

Andreessen participated in the Bills rookie minicamp on a try-out basis. He joins the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of the University at Buffalo.
His lone season with UB saw Andreessen start all 12 of the Bulls’ games, making 90 tackles (55 solo), 12 tackles for loss, one sack, one pass defense, and one forced fumble.

Andreessen fits the recent mold of the Bills’ preferred linebacker type, standing 6’1” and weighing 232 pounds.
